We have long-term contracts with wool growers and our suppliers, methods that are gentle on both the sheep and the environment, and, where possible, we opt not to use plastic. Our origins
The year was 1853, the place was the weather-beaten coastline of Western Norway. The newly trained industrialist Ole Andreas Devold returned home (Ålesund) from Germany full of optimism.
Polar history
Devold’s success coincided with the first major polar expeditions of the late 19th century.
